У меня новый отп. Кубард как пара Фарангиз нравится намного больше Гива, хотя бы потому что ведет себя вежливо, не наглеет, видит в ней не только красотку, да и больше похож на человека, который планирует когда-нибудь остепениться, а не свинтить в закат, получив желаемое

Yuki Rin*, С опозданием, но спасибо! Все арслановцы прекрасны, что в бою, что на пиру. Гив виртуозно выручил Арслана (и Дариун, и Джасвант это явно оценили), и с Исфаном обменялся "приветствием". Ну и любовь с рррэвностью, конечно, цветет и пахнет, что детская к Нарсесу, что невзаимная к Фарангис.

Это, конечно, да, но вот вопрос - нужны ли эти любовные/семейные отношения госпоже кахине? Цветистые излияния Гива, похоже, уже дело принципа с его стороны, потому ей и пофиг, да и Кубад скорее родственная душа и "свой парень".
А Джимса уже у ворот, Арслан аж навстречу "новому соратнику" побежал!

Yuki Rin*, С Тахминой Фарангис объединяет, наверное, некая отстраненность в поведении, плюс обе "пострадавшие на любовном фронте от мужиков", хотя и по-разному. А образование у Фарангис действительно на высшем уровне, жреческое и военное.

Ну и остальное про её жизнь в храме и первую любовь. Копия спойлера под морем, т.к. ссылку не найду.

She met the 20 year-old Aghriras when she was 17 years old. Aghriras is a handsome young man, with black hair, brown eyes, and a tall frame; he’s of “freemen” caste but because of his outstanding academic records and eloquent speech, he’s striving to become a successful priest. They fell in love shortly after they met.
Remember one of the sorcerers named Gurgin? He’s the younger brother of Aghriras and he’s also a priest-in-training at the time. Back then, Gurgin was already showing signs of wanting to pursue power by any means, but Aghriras was always there to guide him back.
A year later, the lead priest decided to choose 3 candidates from the group of young priests and priestesses and send them to Ecbatana for 3 more years of further training; after that, they were supposed to be appointed with high positions. Aghriras and many of his classmates thought that Aghriras would be chosen for sure, but 3 people from noble families were chosen instead, and this kind of discrimination within the shrine frustrated Aghriras because he thinks he’d been wasting his effort all this time. This happened not once, but twice, and despite Farangis’ consolation, he drowned himself in alcohol day after day, starting drunken fights, neglecting his duties, and pushing away his friends; his personality changed drastically.
Once, Aghriras was about to get exiled due to some troubles he’d got himself into if not for Farangis’ pleading. Still, Aghriras couldn’t get back on his feet. He blamed everything on the caste system but had no desire to take act to change the system; Gurgin’s constant criticism of the priests in charge only placed more pressure on his elder brother. Farangis attempted to pull her lover out of darkness, telling him that even if he ended up just teaching in a small village and serving the community, she’d be willing to be with him; Aghriras retorted that he’s not willing to be a loser like that, and Farangis never mentioned this again.
At this time, Farangis’ knowledge and skills were exceeding Aghriras’, and this only pushed him further towards the edge; he insulted Farangis, claiming that she was only this successful because of her beauty. Farangis felt helpless; the man she’d fell in love with had transformed into someone who was easily overtaken by jealousy, someone who couldn’t face challenges head on, someone who shirk responsibilities. He told her to leave him alone, but she believed that given enough time, he’d be able to calm down to start over.
Not long after, Aghriras was thrown into jail for suspected murder of one of the priests. Before he was sent to Ecbatana for his trial, Farangis gave him some money. He spent all the money trying to bribe the escort officers, but not all the officers received the money; so when he attempted to escape, he was forced into a corner and ended up falling down a cliff and died.
When Farangis and Gurgin received the news of Aghriras’ death, Farangis was shocked and Gurgin was angered. What made it worst was that the real murderer was captured soon after, meaning that Aghriras was innocent after all. Gurgin quitted being a priest, but not before he wrecked some shit within the shrine and stole money; the shrine sent a troop to capture Gurgin, and Farangis, prompted by her guilt of being unable to help Aghriras, volunteered herself to do so as well.
But the lead priestess told her this in return: those who had never experienced failure and frustration would never become a priestess; Aghriras had to stand up through his own strength, so Farangis shouldn’t blamed herself for his death; the only one who can save yourself is you. It was at this exact moment that Farangis had decided to serve Mithra for the rest of her life.

У Фарангиз с мужиком такая не сененовская, а жизненная и обыденная драма, что аж больно. Нда, руки не подставишь...
